Leap second added to UTC - change setting in PSIP generator

A leap second will be added to UTC on Tuesday, June 30, at 8:00 PM EDT. This requires a change to the setting of “GPS_UTC_offset” transmitted by PSIP generators from 16 to 17 seconds.


PSIP (Program and System Information Protocol) is used by ATSC digital television stations to define the virtual channels and provide program guide data to television receivers.
