Happy summer everyone…

 

As most of you know SBE National sends a rebate check to active chapters every year. The rebate is based on how many members a chapter has. Since SBE 15 is the largest chapter in the country we get a sizable check every year. This year it was for $2073.40. Our chapter is lucky to be very finically stable. Most of our meeting are paid for by vendors and we also have a revenue stream from our website.  Currently SBE 15 has over $6000 in our bank account.

 

With that said, what many of you may not know, is that SBE National is running a deficit budget again this year. SBE continues to build education and certification offerings for its members and does not ask for huge dues in return. I think knowing this, you will agree with the decision of the SBE 15 officers, to return our rebate to SBE National this year.

 

It is a move that will not impact our chapter and will show that SBE 15 believes in what SBE is doing.
