Doc Masoomian

It is with sadness that I pass along the news that Doc Masoomian has passed away. Doc was one of the engineers who helped build NYC radio. He started at WQXR in the 1930’s. He left to serve as a B-17 pilot in WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart and was a POW in Germany until the end of the War.

He came back to NYC to continue his radio career and was very active in AES and SBE. Anyone who was around SBE 15 in the 80’s surely will remember Doc.

I have attached his obituary. Doc passed away on October 11th.

Best,

Jeff
