You might want to look at the new Channel Master DVR. It costs $250. Standalone it does not have a lot of record capacity so don't let the DVR part throw you. It is compatible with Slingbox 500.

I have the original HD Slingbox and it only accepts analog component video for HD which is not that common on basic tuners.

If that is too rich, consider an Aereo subscription and no hardware.

Would anyone have recommendations for a consumer grade ATSC tuner? The application does not justify the expense of a full-broadcast quality demod. The tuner will be used to receive 8VSB (not cable) to feed a Slingbox or similar arrangement. At this site, good sensitivity and good selectivity are a must. An IR remote would be a plus.

I've used a number of NTSC tuners in the past but have no experience with ATSC tuners. Any recomendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
