I’m re-sending this just in case it didn’t make it through the yahoo groups e-mail address. The younger guys won’t know who Win was, but we older guys knew Win as the CE at WABC radio through much of its hey-day. Originally from Louisiana, he was the consummate southern gentleman. He always said he wanted to “go home” when he retired, but I guess he never did. Family probably kept him in this area.

When Win retired, a plaque in his honor was placed on the tuning house at the WABC transmitter in Lodi. That was somewhat paradoxical, Win hated RF, being that his background was studio engineering. He appreciated the gesture none the less.
