Thanks to everyone who came out to our FIRST EVER joint meeting with SMPTE, IEEE and AES! It truly was an awesome event! A lot was learned about the CALM Act, both the realities and pipe dreams about it. NBC Universal were very gracious hosts and I really hope we can do joint meetings like this in the future. It really is a great way to expose other engineers and tech people to SBE and a great networking opportunity for our members.

With that said, our next meeting is posted. It will be presented by Chris Onan of BE and be about the past, present and future of radio automation, Chris was also kind enough to sponsor dinner for us. Rob Bertrand of CBS Radio was kind enough to host this meeting at the CBS Radio 345 Hudson St Studios. In reality it was Rob's way of making sure he gets to at least one meeting this year!

The discussion will be on TriCasters, which if you haven’t played with, is a VERY cool tool for radio, TV and internet! Then we will have our annual May BBQ in Tom's RF friendly transmitter site :)
