Subject: [sbe15ny] October Meeting

Here is a little more information about the presenting company, IHSE. Since they are new to SBE 15 I thought you might like to see.

The meeting info and the RSVP form are up on the www.sbe15.com website.

The October 18th SBE meeting will feature a presentation by IHSE on their KVM extension and matrix routing systems.

IHSE Switches can support BOTH copper and fiber connection and switch between them without any media converters.  Mixing copper and fiber on the same switch makes it possible to combine support for long runs with fiber with the economy of copper for shorter runs (Up to 140 meters on copper).

IHSE’s KVM switches are capable of switching sources during the vertical interval, so end users see no glitches when switching from one source to another (Unlike the competition).

Recently IHSE significantly reduced the cost of entry into the KVM world by introducing their new Tera-Compact series of switches.  These switches are full featured while offering up to 64 ports in a single RU.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the October meeting.

Jeff
