Alan,

Thanks much. I have Westrick doing MEP on an office remodel for me right now. I'll probably go with T-T just for expediency... this just needs to get done and done quickly.

Alex.

Hi Alex: The old stand-by is Sy Donner (sydonner@PROTECTED). He semi-retired and moved to Florida, but the last I had contact with him a couple of years ago, he would still do a floor loading study (if it didn't interrupt his shuffleboard game too severely). The up side is he is well known to the building, the down side is he will only check your idea. You pay his fee, and if it works, great. If it doesn't, and you want to try moving things around, you pay another fee, etc. Chris Drutjons (used to be with Henegan Construction, now out on his own) might be able to do it, or if not, recommend someone (chris@PROTECTED). Same for John Westrick (john@PROTECTED). Maybe the easiet way to go is with Wayne Hostetler (whostetler@PROTECTED) at Thornton-Tomasetti. They are the buildings structural consultants, and everything someone else does, they run past TT anyway, so using them out of the box might save some time. A word of caution, you need to stay on top of Wayne to make sure he does your job. You can't assume that if he says he will take care of it, he will. You need to keep checking. Hope this helps, Alan

Can anyone recommend a structural PE that can do a floor loading certification at Empire?
