Here! Here!  Great Choice.

As some or many of you may be aware, the SBE has been awarding an Engineer of the Year Award on the national level for a long time now. This year the SBE created a local Engineer of the Year Award. This was meant to allow a chapter to recognize a local member that has contributed greatly to the local SBE and also to the local broadcast community.

Myself and the other officers of SBE 15 felt there were many people in our chapter that were deserving of the first ever SBE 15 Engineer of the Year Award. After debating it fiercely….ok not so fiercely but maybe slightly emotionally…. We agreed on a winner. This person is now nominated for the SBE National Engineer of the Year Award.

We decided to award Conrad Trautmann with this award. Conrad truly deserves to be SBE 15’s first ever Engineer of the Year. Conrad has served  SBE 15 for years now. He played a major role in bringing SBE 15 back to life. He setup the ground work that has allowed us to become the largest and most financially stable SBE chapter in the country! In addition to this Conrad has worked as SVP of Engineering for Westwood One and Dial Global, helping both of those companies build world class syndication platforms.

So it is with great honor that SBE 15 awards Conrad Trautnmann with SBE 15’s first Engineer of the Year Award.

Once meeting season begins again we will formally present it to Conrad.
