Hum and noise on November RMT

The DASDEC at WWOR-TV received the RMT from WABC(AM) today at 13:24 with significant hum and noise. WOR-AM relayed it at 13:32 and WNYC-FM at 14:00 and it sounded even noisier. Does anyone know how it is originated and if there is something we can do to make it sound better?
